Julie Luby

Associate

Dr. Julie Luby is an Assistant Superintendent of Schools with more than 30 years of experience as an educator and a leader. As Assistant Superintendent, she has unified her district around a common vision and a shared instructional approach that has significantly increased student growth. In fact, during her tenure, the district’s elementary school was recognized as a school of distinction for reading growth for the first time.


Julie is a systematic, responsive and consistent educational leader who is passionate about growing the leadership of others to create schools where students and their learning are prioritized. She taught English and mathematics at the elementary, middle and high school levels and has been a principal at the elementary, intermediate and high school levels, always keeping student learning and wellness at the heart of the work.


Julie is a published author on topics such as teacher development and administrator advancement. She was an adjunct professor teaching graduate courses in school administration and a fellow of the Connecticut Writing Project. She received awards for Academic Excellence and Outstanding Research while attending Sacred Heart University. She is a sought after facilitator and coach.


Dr. Luby earned her undergraduate degree in English from Lehigh University, her masters and sixth year degrees from Sacred Heart University and her doctorate in leadership from the American College of Education.
